#futuresEAST is a collective of futures makers in the East Portland corridor committee to evolving into an ecosystem that doesn’t just allow us to survive and thrive- but to innovate. We are seeing to use this #hashtag experiment as a way of collectively bringing visibility to what is already happening — a real, grassroots surge of community energy, creativity, and powerful aspirations and ambitions across East Portland, Gresham and outer east.
#futuresEAST is not an organization, a legal entity—seeks to provide our ecosystem with a home base connection point and broader infrastructure to encourage connections, collisions, collaboration and innovative change.

If you've got something worth sharing, just share it — add the # hashtag—#futureseast and tag @futuresEAST on social media for extra reach, and watch the community show up for you. That is it— no membership needed, no organization to join.
What content should I share using the hashtag?

Futures makers are usually easy to spot because they share for others before they share for themselves.
Celebrate what others are doing. Hyping up your neighbors might be the single most generous thing you can do online. Share their wins like you mean it.
Write about what you or your organization are doing. Launching something new? Attending a community event? Met someone awesome? Tell us about it!
Broadcast useful tips, resources, and ideas. Great content doesn't have to originate in East Portland to be worth sharing. If it helps our community grow, pass it along.
Be real about your wins AND your struggles. Community building is hard, and nobody expects you to have it all figured out. Being honest about where you're hitting walls builds way more trust than a highlight reel ever will.
Share your vision for East Portland. Got a big dream for what these neighborhoods could become? Say it out loud! We need your voice to help paint the picture of what's possible here.
