#futureseast fund

Launched in April 2026— the #futuresEAST fund is a community-led pooled grantmaking model for inclusive & expansive economic growth. We are currently fundraising for our first round of grants which will be focused on sustaining the ecosystem and expanding our access to the type of capacity building, technical assistance and ecosystem building.

#futuresEAST Fund Commitments:

• Create & fundraise for the collective vision to gain access to expansive capital to fund ecosystem wide growth— first goal is $10M

• Distribute capital through a community led and fully transparent funding model without losing large portions of funding to intermediaries, administrative teams or high-paid consultancy firms. We believe in fractionalized and right sized infrastructure through fractional teams.

• Establish the agency to contract both local culturally based talent (who are often not on the approved vendor lists for the city and other funders) as well as establish our own external ecosystem partnerships with talent that can guide our visions for growth into globalized markets

• Implement community-based and community led funding distribution process with rapid decision making cycles and locally rooted capacity building supports, technical assistance, and impact/evaluation/financial tracking tools that feed into a collective economy scorecard for collective accountability.
